Midwest Region

(1) Purdue vs. (16) Cal St Fullerton
(8) Marquette vs. (9) Murray State
(4) Tennessee vs. (13) Ohio
(5) Texas vs. (12) Cleveland State
(6) Notre Dame vs. (11) Iowa/BYU
(3) Texas Tech vs. (14) Creighton
(7) LSU vs. (10) Michigan State
(2) UCLA vs. (15) Iona

Purdue basketball remains a No. 1 seed with the potential to still take home their conference tournament title and two road meetings against Michigan State and Wisconsin still looming in a few weeks.

Creighton basketball is a member of the “Last Four Byes” club but they aren’t the only teams in this region with work still left to do before the NCAA Tournament field is announced. Iowa/BYU are two of the “Last Four In” as the play-in game in this region. Between the three of them, there could be a lot more movement in this region.

Michigan State is the other team to keep an eye on in this region. At 8-4 in Big Ten basketball and a meeting with Indiana on Saturday, there’s room for them to improve their seeding.

Marquette basketball is probably the team with the biggest potential to move or even find themselves in the East region as a higher seed. They’re 7-6 against Q1 teams but 3-2 against Q3 teams in 2021-22. They’ll be on the road against Butler on Saturday afternoon.
