Big Ten (7): Purdue (1), Wisconsin (2), Illinois (4), Ohio State (5), Indiana (7), Michigan State (10), Iowa (11)

MWC (4): Boise State (8), Colorado State (10), San Diego State (11), Wyoming (12)

WCC (4): Gonzaga (1), St. Mary’s (9), BYU (11), San Francisco (13)

MWC and WCC basketball find themselves in a three-way tie with the Pac-12 with four teams in this year’s NCAA Tournament field. BYU and San Francisco basketball look like they might still have work to do as double-digit seeds with St. Mary’s basketball well in the field at No. 9 and Gonzaga basketball as the No. 1 overall seed.

Big East and Big Ten basketball lead the projected field of 68 with seven teams apiece. Indiana basketball is the lone team on the bubble for now, but it’s been the Big Ten and Big East flexing their muscles over the likes of the SEC and ACC who both have five projected teams in the NCAA Tournament field. Big 12 basketball also came in with six projections with four being locks already in Kansas, Baylor, Texas Tech, and Texas.

On the bubble, Oklahoma basketball looms in the Big 12 basketball ranks, and Florida and TCU basketball loom for SEC basketball when looking at their respective numbers in the current projections.
