Villanova – BUY

Villanova is Villanova. Plain and simple. Jay Wright teams are always built to make deep runs and this team is no exception. They really don’t have any bad resume losses with the worst being on the road against a Creighton team that is trending towards making the NCAA tournament.

There was the Baylor game, but Wildcat fans don’t want to mention that. After their performance earlier this month at the Dunkin Donuts Center against Providence, it is clear that the Big East still runs through Philadelphia. They also probably have a back-to-back Big East Player of the Year in senior guard Collin Gillespie. It’s just a typical Villanova team.

Providence – SELL

And finally, we’ve arrived at the most controversial team in the conference, the Providence Friars. They may be currently ranked in the Top 10 of the AP Poll and are off to the best start in program history, but I just don’t see it in this group.

They have caught a bunch of teams at the right time and have the luxury of only playing 17 league games due to COVID-19. This team is certainly a talented group, with the emergence of junior guard Jared Bynum as of late and the always consistent post play of senior center Nate Watson.

I believe if they are on the score a good 13 or 14 seeded team on Selection Sunday, it may be the end of a magical season.
