NCAA Basketball top 25 power rankings: Texas Tech rises, Baylor and Providence fall

12. Tennessee (19-7)
Tennessee is an example of a team that has won some very nice games this season, but those wins have typically taken place at home. Don’t get me wrong, they’ve won some road games, though nice wins over Arizona, LSU, and Florida all came in Knoxville. With that in mind, their two results from this past week certainly shouldn’t be too much of a surprise.
First, they got a huge slice of revenge on Tuesday night, delivering a 76-63 home win over a Kentucky team that embarrassed them exactly one month earlier. It was a great game all around for the Volunteers, led by 18 points from Santiago Vescovi and 17 points from Kennedy Chandler. Unfortunately, the road was less kind to the Volunteers, as Tennessee dropped a rough 58-48 affair at Arkansas this weekend.
In the SEC, Tennessee sits in good shape at 10-4, but some of these results start to pose some question marks. Coming into the weekend, the Volunteers had won eight straight conference games, but will their inability to win big games away from home doom them once March gets going? Next week they travel to Missouri for a road game that should be a bit more winnable before a major clash at home against Auburn.
