NCAA Basketball top 25 power rankings: Texas Tech rises, Baylor and Providence fall

8. Kansas (22-4)
Sitting pretty on top of the Big 12, it’s hard to find too much to complain about if you’re Kansas. You’ve got Ochai Agbaji and Christian Braun playing at an elite level, plus Jalen Wilson, Remy Martin and a crew of talent on this roster. The Jayhawks are getting into prime form at the right time of the season, securing another pair of wins this past week.
That week started with a solid 76-62 victory over Oklahoma State, a game in which Agbaji had 20 points and Braun contributed 16. The Jayhawks made quick work of the Cowboys and looked pretty good in the process. On Saturday, they got another solid win, this time upending West Virginia 71-58 on the road. David McCormack was the star this time, putting up 19 points and 11 rebounds in the road victory.
These Jayhawks now sit 11-2 in the Big 12 and in great position to win yet another league title in the regular season. The conference is extremely tough and filled with future NCAA Tournament teams, but Kansas has done some great work to this point. Next week could pose more of a challenge, with a feisty rematch at Baylor awaiting them next Saturday; their final big hurdle before the postseason begins.
