7. Purdue +800

I’ll be honest, about a month ago I would have told you the Purdue Boilermakers were going to win the NCAA National Championship. Today, I will tell you the complete opposite.

It goes without saying that Jaden Ivey, Trevion Williams, and Zach Edey are impossible to stop offensively. Purdue will have no problem scoring baskets against any team in the country.

Although they do lead a strong Big 10 conference in almost every offensive category, Purdue does not play strong enough defense to compete for a title. They rank 10th in the Big 10 and 114th in the country in defensive efficiency. The lack of commitment they show on the defensive side of the ball will cause problems for them in the Big 10 tournament and the NCAA tournament. I do not trust them enough to place a futures bet on them. Stay away from the Boilermakers +800.
