18. UCLA Bruins

The start of a three-game road trip didn’t go well for the Bruins, falling to an Oregon squad firmly on the bubble and were desperate to win. But more importantly, star guard Johnny Juzang left with an injury early on and didn’t return. He was out for Saturday’s matchup at lowly Oregon State but the 3-win Beavers proved not to be too much of a test.

The final score of that game was 94-55, with all five starters scoring in double figures. Point guard Tyger Campbell led the way with 20 points and five assists on 8/10 shooting from the field. Shooting 59% from the field and 13/20 from deep also helps in a 39-point blowout.

UCLA has a potentially tricky game at Washington next week before closing out against USC at home, a game that could decide who the No. 2 seed will be in the upcoming Pac-12 Tournament.

17. Ohio State Buckeyes

It was an eventful week for the Buckeyes, starting out with a home game against Indiana that eventually went into overtime. But in the extra five minutes, it was all Ohio State, scoring 17 points to get the 80-69 victory. Malaki Branham had 27 points to lead all scorers, while E.J. Liddell had 16.

The freshman Branham has come out of his scoring shell as of late, upping his performance to a whopping 31 points in a three-point road win at Ohio State on Thursday, with Liddell producing 21 points and Kyle Young with 18 off the bench.

The Buckeyes now have an outside chance at getting a share of the Big Ten regular-season title and is tied for second in the standings. They have four games in a span of seven days, but three of them are at home, with the road battle at Maryland on Sunday.
