4. Which double-digit seed has the best chance of making the Sweet 16?

Clarry

I’m sticking with the Blazers! Walker has four other guys supporting him that shoot over 40% from three. Considering how beatable Houston is and the difficulty the Illini seem to have against the perimeter, UAB has the draw and the talent to make a little run.

I’m going to have to go with Michigan again for the double-digit seed that has the best chance of making it to the Sweet 16. I don’t see them getting past the likes of Villanova if they defeat Tennessee, all under the assumption those are the teams that make it to the round of 32. I wouldn’t count them out of Sweet 16 contention out of all the double-digit seeds in this region.

I’ll stick with Loyola Chicago here. I like the Ramblers to upset an Ohio State team that can’t defend in the round of 64. A potential round of 32 matchup with 2-seed Villanova would be a tough task, but one that Loyola Chicago has the potential to handle. The Ramblers are well-coached and balanced — they can defend at a high level and are highly disciplined offensively.

It’s not something I would bet on, but Loyola Chicago has the most realistic path to the Sweet 16 of any double-digit seed in the South Region.

Going off my previous answer I am going to say Michigan here again. I don’t know how they avoided the first four round, but they did. If they can get past Colorado State they could beat Tennessee.

If the Volunteers get by Longwood they are the better team on paper against Michigan, but all it takes is one game for the shots to not fall. I don’t think Michigan beats Tennessee if they do play but believe of all the best double-digits seeds Michigan has the highest odds to reach the Sweet 16.
