Houston Cougars

The Cougars have shown that they have 100 talented guards on the roster after suffering a couple of injuries this season. But part of the reason why they’ve remained good and is now in the Sweet 16 is the play of big men Fabian White Jr. and Josh Carlton. Both of whom are 5th-year seniors and will be gone next season.

Similar to the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Houston has become a powerhouse in its respective conference (AAC) and is a mainstay in the NCAA Tournament. And Aimaq will not only be surrounded by quality guards that can only make his life easier inside but he’d have as much playing time as possible as a starter on what would be a preseason top-10 team.

Texas Tech Red Raiders

The Red Raiders will be losing both Bryson Williams and Marcus Santos-Silva in the frontcourt this offseason, leaving Arizona transfer Daniel Batcho at the center position. He looked like he was going to be part of the rotation midway through the year but he’s fallen out of it at this point in the season.

But Kevin Obannor likely will remain at the four-spot, one of the best stretch forwards in the country. He and Aimaq would be a dynamic pairing and the transfer would fit in Texas Tech’s system on both ends of the court. For a transfer-heavy team like the Red Raiders, this is a scenario that could realistically happen and Aimaq would be a featured piece offensively.
