Al Durham, 6-foot-4 guard, Providence Friars

Al Durham is another prospect out of the transfer portal that’s emerged out of March Madness as a name to know with the Providence Friars. He’s a graduate transfer that spent the past four seasons with the Indiana Hoosiers and since found his landing spot with the Friars as a name to know in the Sweet 16.

Durham is a stat-sheet stuffing 6-foot-4 guard with the Friars that’s produced 13.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 4.5 apg so far in the NCAA Tournament. He made things look easy against the Richmond Spiders as he went for 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 shooting from 3-point range to pace the backcourt attack for the Friars.

While he’s generated an offensive rating of 130.9, his presence on the defensive end is what gets things going when he’s needed the most. He’s generated a defensive rating of 90.5 when he’s on the floor in the NCAA Tournament.

His ability to affect the game as a stopper on the defensive end will be something to keep an eye on Friday night. The Jayhawks guards will be the next challenge for Durham. He certainly won’t back down from the challenge.
