There are some potential indications that starting center and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year Christian Koloko will be off to the NBA this offseason. That would leave Oumar Ballo and incoming four-star recruit Dylan Anderson to get minutes and there are questions as to whether or not they can get the lion’s share of the playing time next year.

Head coach Tommy Lloyd did a fantastic job in his first year and dating back to his Gonzaga days as an assistant, has proven to be one of the best developers of big men in NCAA Basketball. It’s a safe option and as we saw with Koloko, Broome can remain a focal point of the offense and be on a top-10 preseason squad and 2023 Final Four contender.

Arkansas Razorbacks

The Razorbacks will be linked to every transfer that averages more than 2.0 ppg but there’s a genuine need for a big man, based on what happens with star big Jaylin Williams. He had a breakout sophomore campaign and his NBA Draft stock is at an all-time high. It likely won’t get better and he’s currently in the draft process, with the option to return.

If Williams comes back, Arkansas will be set and won’t get Broome. But in case, they should be after the Morehead State transfer as well. Coach Eric Musselman has a lengthy history of success with transfers and currently has three High School McDonald’s All-Americans coming in to work with any big man. If Broome is willing to let the process play out with Williams, Arkansas could be a great match.
