5. Texas Longhorns

Texas falls in the last spot in the chase for Aimaq’s services. This is due to the frontcourt positions being filled with Christian Bishop, Dylan Disu, and more recently Timmy Allen, all returning, plus the 5-star addition in Dillon Mitchell; there may not be the opportunity to get the proper offensive touches Aimaq once had.

Not to mention the Longhorns only ran post plays and pick-and roll opportunities for their big men 15.8% of the time on offense. Coach Chris Beard had a bunch of talent at the big man position through the portal last season and seemingly failed top maximize such talent. The hope would be for Aimaq to not get stuck in that frontcourt logjam.

If Texas were to land Aimaq he would immediately contend for as starting frontcourt position. He could add some stability on both ends. You know you can get an inside presence from him: defending the rim or being a constant threat offensively within the restricted area. According to KenPom the Longhorns were 14th in adjusted defensive efficiency, Aimaq can keep that ranking afloat if he were to set foot in Austin.
