24. Oregon Ducks

2021-22 record: 20-15 (9-9 in Pac-12)

As expected, the Ducks had a lot of roster turnover after a rough past season that concluded by missing the NCAA Tournament. Several players have left, including frontcourt players, Franck Kepnang, Eric Williams, and Isaac Johnson, along with guards De’Vion Harmon and Jacob Young. Leading scorer and point guard Will Richardson still has some eligibility left but all indications are that he’s going pro.

But there’s still plenty of depth on the roster for Oregon, featuring several key returning pieces and some talented newcomers. Frontcourt players Quincy Guerrier and N’Faly Dante will be back, as well as former five-star stretch forward Nathan Bittle. Joining them in the frontcourt is Kel’el Ware, a five-star true center that could start as a freshman.

In the backcourt are several newcomers, including a pair of JUCO transfers in Brennan Rigsby and Tyrone Williams, joining Rivardo Soares. A D-I transfer coming in is Keeshawn Barthelemy, a 6’2 shooting guard from Colorado that averaged 11.1 ppg and 2.4 apg on 42% shooting as a sophomore. He adds depth and double-digit scoring production in the backcourt.

The real reason why the Ducks are in the top-25 is my belief that top-5 overall freshman and point guard Dior Johnson will have a major impact early on. If he can be a 15-20 ppg scorer and the supporting cast can be solid, especially in the frontcourt, Oregon will be back in the NCAA Tournament.
