NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Ranking 2023 5-star wing Ron Holland’s top 8

Arkansas Razorbacks
The Razorback program is certainly on the rise and last year’s NCAA Tournament performance offers plenty of evidence for that. Head coach Eric Musselman has now managed to match his off-court accomplishments, notably consistent success recruit both high school talent and pilfering more via the transfer portal, with Arkansas’ on-court feats. Heading into his 4th season with the Razorbacks, Musselman has pulled off top-10 recruiting classes in two out of the three seasons in Fayetteville to go along with two trips to the Elite 8.
Next season figures to see little-to-no dropoff, as the nation’s 2nd-best recruiting class is set to arrive on campus. Complete with a trio of top-20 players, it’s the 1st class Musselman has signed to Arkansas containing 5-star recruits. The fact that he hasn’t to this point and still achieved repeat Elite 8 performances speaks highly of his ability to garner player buy-in, development and a high-level feel for the game.
Additionally, Musselman’s track record of sending players to the NBA is growing by the year. Currently, he has developed and coached a trio of players who have seen time in the association and is likely to see another pair hear their names called this off-season. The 2022 recruiting class has at least three players who are likely to make that leap as well creating quite the list in such a short period of time.
In Holland’s case, the Razorbacks have not had a player with his combination of size and skillset on their campus under Musselman either. With the current trajectory of the program under his guidance, Holland is sure to garner significant attention from NBA scouts, as well as receiving national exposure via SEC competition and televised games as a starter in year one.
