5. Jaden Ivey – Purdue Boilermakers

The likelihood of Ivey getting selected this high is next-to-none. But for hypothetical and alternate universe purposes let’s say he does get selected.

Ivey would be a clear upgrade over Anthony at the 2 spot. Pairing him in the backcourt with Suggs would be exciting. Two players that love to run as if track was their true sport. They both are physical in nature, athletic specimens, advanced with a nice feel operating in screen situations, and lastly are winning competitors.

Orlando finished top-10 in pace per game in the entire league. An Ivey selection would improve upon that ranking. It is extremely unlikely we see this selection but one can wonder how he’d fit.
