Adam Miller – LSU Tigers

Another player who entered the portal but opted to stay at home is Adam Miller who hasn’t had the easiest go of it in his young career. As a freshman in 2020 He started 29 games for the Illini averaging 8.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and under 1 assist per game while shooting 39 percent from the field and 34 percent from three. While none of those numbers jump out, it reflects a promising start to a college career, one which lead to Miller transferring to join LSU ahead of last season, expected to have a large role.

However, Miller’s 2021-22 season was derailed after suffering an ACL injury, and did not make a single appearance for the Tigers. After another stint in the portal, Miller opted to return to Baton Rouge with hopes that he will be fully recovered from his injury and ready to roll for the Tigers this campaign.

He showed flashes of high-volume, multi-level scoring at Illinois and has a quick release. He’s flashed some ability to finish at the rim with his dominant left hand and can move well off the ball to find open spots when other players drive and kick to him. If he can get open looks in a fast-paced LSU side, other guards will find him and he should be able to get up a lot of shots with defenders chasing rather than in a set position to contest.  Look for Miller to elevate his scoring after such a long stint on the treatment table.
