10. F/C Felipe Haase – Mercer Bears

2021-22 stats: 14.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.0 apg

In two years at South Carolina, the 6’9 big man was a solid bench player. But at the Socon level, Haase became one of the better frontcourt players in the league. He posted career-high scoring numbers this past season, including a career-high 41 points and 10 rebounds early in the year at Winthrop. Haase also became an elite shooter from deep, going for 40% from three-point range in the past two years at Mercer.

His recruitment has been fairly quiet overall, with Wisconsin being a program linked to him for a while. It’s hard to tell whether he can be effective against at the high-major level but based on who’s left in the portal, Haase can at least say he’s one of the more productive frontcourt players remaining.

9. F Mouhamed Gueye – Washington State Cougars

2021-22 stats: 7.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 0.9 bpg

As a freshman, Gueye started 33 games and played around 22 mpg. His offense was very inconsistent overall but did have a 25-point effort against Washington one time to show his potential. Gueye also went 7/25 from deep (28%) and showcased an ability to spread the floor.

Gueye was part of a clunky offense that probably didn’t put him in a great position but he has pro potential and three years left of eligibility. So any team that lands him could have a multi-year newcomer that can play power forward and instantly improve a team’s defense, while also having a good rebounder as well.
