6. C Efe Abogidi – Washington State Cougars

2021-22 stats: 8.1 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.8 bpg

The 6’11 big man has quietly been one of the better defenders out west of the past two years at Washington State. Abogidi is a good shot-blocker and physical center and could be an offensive threat every now and then, including four games of 17+ points this past season.

The recruitment for Abogidi was reportedly down to Arizona, Maryland, and back to Washington State but Stadium’s Jeff Goodman reports that the NBA G League is also an option now. Considering how big the market has and remains for centers this offseason, not having this guy available would be a tough hit for those involved.

5. F Keion Brooks Jr. – Kentucky Wildcats

2021-22 stats: 10.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.0 apg

The 6’7 undersized power forward has quietly been a double-digit performer for the Wildcats in each of the past two seasons. Brooks’ offensive production has been very inconsistent but he can have some big games, including going for a career-high 27 points and eight rebounds against Kansas.

With a career 23% three-point shooting number, Brooks is limited in what he can do but considering how weak the power forward position has been this offseason in the portal, the former Kentucky forward still will have plenty of options. Some teams to watch include Iowa and Washington, both of whom could use a scoring frontcourt option right now.
