6. Texas A&M

There’s plenty of buzz in College Station this season, especially with how last season ended for these Aggies. Texas A&M pulled three upsets in the SEC Tournament before settling for a deep run at the NIT. Overall, the Aggies won twelve of their last fifteen games and return a great deal of that talent this season.

Quenton Jackson is gone, but Tyrece Radford and Henry Coleman are back, both after averaging double-digit points last season. Former Wichita State wing Dexter Dennis should play an important role on both sides of the ball, while Manny Obaseki and Wade Taylor IV enter their sophomore year with bigger expectations. Former Michigan State center Julius Marble II and Mississippi State forward Andersson Garcia add much-needed depth in the interior.

Texas A&M projects as a Tournament team this season and there’s reason to believe in these Aggies. If they can come out playing the kind of basketball they were playing at the end of last year, then Buzz Williams and this squad can make some serious noise, and not just in the SEC. If the Aggies can avoid injuries or inconsistent play and really come together then we might see them playing in the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament.
