25. San Antonio Spurs – SG Blake Wesley (Notre Dame Fighting Irish) – Draft Grade: A

There were several mocks that had Wesley in the lottery range so this kind of value late in the first round is big for the Spurs. And after also getting Sochan and Branham, all of these kinds could find a pathway to minutes as rookies. Wesley is a true off-guard that can score well and still has plenty of developing to do.

26. Minnesota Timberwolves – SG Wendell Moore (Duke Blue Devils) – Draft Grade: B+

Moore is a very good value pick in that he isn’t going to be a 20 ppg but his passing and versatility will allow him to find minutes. Minnesota, who doesn’t have a true point guard realistically, could use another passer like Moore in the lineups to help the ball move more fluidly.

27. Miami Heat – F Nikola Jovic (Serbia) – Draft Grade: B

If this was a grade involving Miami’s immediate future, it would be a “C” since Jovic may be an overseas stash or G League candidate and likely won’t help a team in win-now mode. But for the long-term, it would be an “A” because the Serbian forward has high potential as an offensive player for the next era of Heat Basketball. So balancing it out to a “B” would be fair.
