NBA Draft 2023: Victor Wembanyama leads way-too-early mock draft
27. Kris Murray (PF) – Iowa
Kris’ twin brother, Keegan, was just taken No. 4 overall by Sacramento after an enormous freshman to sophomore leap. This season, it’s Kris’ turn. The 6-8 forward has a similar, versatile skillset to his brother and is expected to nearly double his 9.7 scoring average as a junior at Iowa this season.
One thing that will work against Murray is his age — he’ll be 23 years old by the time he presumably starts his rookie season next fall. Age clearly isn’t the only factor, but it is a major one in the eyes of many scouts that could hold Kris back from being drafted as highly as Keegan was this year.
26. Gradey Dick (SG/SF) – Kansas
Kansas won the national championship this past season with a roster that featured six seniors and not a single five-star recruit. That’s going to change in 2022-23, led by Gradey Dick, a top 20 player in the class according to the 247Sports Composite. Dick is a long wing who can shoot it with range and understands the game at a high level. He is a strong athlete who has defensive potential that Kansas Head Coach Bill Self should help to develop in what will likely be Dick’s lone season in Lawrence, Kansas.
