 45. Theo Akwuba – Ole Miss Rebels

2021-22 stats (at Louisiana): 9.1 ppg and 7.9 rpg

The Rebels brought in three mid-major frontcourt transfers and the one most likely to make an impact is Akwuba, a 6’11 center that was the former Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year at Louisiana. He’s a quality shot-blocker and has plenty of size for the SEC level. He’ll have plenty of quality bigs to deal with in league play and is the lone center on the roster that can match up with them.

44. Dylan Penn – Vermont Catamounts

2021-22 stats (at Bellarmine): 16.6 ppg and 5.0 apg

The 6’3 guard made Bellarmine’s transition to the D-I level very easy, including being the second-best player in the Atlantic Sun last season. Penn can do just about everything except make three-pointers at a high clip but his ability to scorer doesn’t rely on that. He had 38 points in a game against Central Arkansas and will be Vermont’s best player and possibly the America East’s best as well.

43. Warren Washington – Arizona State Sun Devils

2021-22 stats (at Nevada): 10.5 ppg and 6.6 rpg

The 7’0 center has scored double figures in each of the last two years for the Wolf Pack at around 60% shooting from the field. He’s an effective post scorer and provides much-needed balance to the Sun Devils’ frontcourt, which has had issues in that department recently.

42. KC Ndefo – Seton Hall Pirates

2021-22 stats (at Saint Peter’s): 10.5 ppg and 6.1 rpg

Ndefo was an impact player before the Peacocks’ historic Elite 8 run. The 6’7 big man was the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year (3 times) and is a bouncy forward that plays and defends bigger than his size. He sticks with head coach Shaheen Halloway to the Big East level and will anchor what should be a very good defense based on the overall roster makeup. And he’s an underrated offensive player as well so it won’t be a shock if he is still a 10+ scorer this season.

41. Eric Gaines – UAB Blazers

2021-22 stats (at LSU): 9.0 ppg and 2.9 apg

Gaines may have been a bit inefficient off the bench for LSU but he certainly proved that he’s a power conference performer. But now he joins a UAB roster that’s loaded with talent and next to CUSA Player of the Year Jelly Walker, very well could end up as the next best player. Gaines can play on and off the ball and is a capable scorer and an impressive athlete. He’ll certainly have some nice stats at this level.
