Projected Starters

Guard – Grant Sherfield (Senior)

This impressive scorer becomes Oklahoma’s new point guard and should play a vital role on both sides of the ball for the Sooners. Sherfield averaged 19.1 points and 6.4 assists per game last season at Nevada, leading the Wolf Pack in both categories. He’s one of the most impressive pieces from the transfer portal and should run the offense well for the Sooners.

Guard – Joseph Bamisile (Junior)

Bamisile is another transfer that bolsters this backcourt, having started his career at Virginia Tech before emerging as an All-A-10 player last year at George Washington. He averaged 16.3 points and 5.0 rebounds for the Colonials last season while making just over 35% of his long-range shots. With Oklahoma, he won’t be expected to contribute at that same level but should be an important piece.

Guard/Forward – Jalen Hill (Senior)

After becoming a full-time starter last season, Hill enters his fourth season with the Sooners and will play an even more important role. A talented wing, he averaged 9.1 points a game last year and should figure even more prominently on this team. Can he take another step forward?

Forward – Jacob Groves (Senior)

Groves joined Oklahoma last year after spending his first two seasons at Eastern Washington. While not as prominent as his brother, he’ll likely slide into a full-time starter in the frontcourt, hoping to build on a decent season last year.

Forward – Tanner Groves (Senior)

Much like his brother, Groves began his career at Eastern Washington and developed into a star before heading to Oklahoma to join Moser’s squad last season. After averaging more than 17 points a game with the Eagles as a junior, Groves settled into his role by putting up 11.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last season. He’ll be depended on even more this season as the strength of this frontcourt.
