Projected Starters

Guard – Sahvir Wheeler (Senior)

The SEC’s finest point guard in recent memory, Wheeler enters his second season at Kentucky after a pair of years with Georgia. He’s led the league in assists the last two seasons, averaging 10.1 points and 6.9 assists for the Wildcats last season. Twice an All-SEC player, he’s an electric who can run this offense and plays a major role for this team.

Guard – Cason Wallace (Freshman)

A 5-star combo guard from Texas, Wallace is a piece that the Wildcats are very excited to see this season. He rates as one of the best defensive pieces in this recruiting class and should be a dynamic addition to this defense. His offense is still developing, but he should put up some points out of this backcourt, especially from his jumper.

Forward – Chris Livingston (Freshman)

A 5-star small forward, Livingston has a solid build and athleticism and should be an emerging player for the Wildcats. Livingston can make plays all over the court, can shoot from deep, and has the potential to be a menace as a rebounder. His role on the defensive side should be excellent as well.

Forward – Jacob Toppin (Senior)

An athletic wing looking at increased minutes this season, Toppin averaging 6.2 points and 3.2 rebounds a game off the bench last season. With departures from last season, Toppin works his way into a starting role and looks to build off last year. His offensive metrics have been impressive, but can that hold up with more time on the court?

Forward – Oscar Tshiebwe (Senior)

A transfer last season from West Virginia, Tshiebwe blossomed in a major way at Kentucky, winning national player of the year awards and leading the country in rebounding. He averaged 17.4 points and 15.2 rebounds a game and returns for his senior season, bringing increased expectations for him and these Wildcats. His presence in the paint cannot be understated.
