Schedule Outlook

our home games litter the start of the regular season for the Tigers, who should find themselves off to a 4-0 start this year. There are some intriguing matchups, as they’ll open the year with George Mason before taking on South Florida a few days later. However, Auburn will be favored to win these games, their first tune-ups before heading to Cancun.

The Cancun Challenge will have the Tigers play Bradley and then either Northwestern or Liberty on the two days before Thanksgiving. They are certainly the best team in this limited field and should be the favorites to win the tournament. After the holidays, they’re back home for a couple of games, including a highly-anticipated home game against a talented Saint Louis squad on November 27th.

One of their most intriguing matchups of the non-conference season comes December 10th, as they’ll face Memphis in Atlanta. Just over a week later, the Tigers have their first true road tests, as they’ll get a tune-up against USC and Washington, playing a pair of Pac-12 teams on the west coast. The December 18th contest with the Trojans will be quite the challenge for the Tigers and is probably the most difficult game they’ll face before New Year’s.

Their 18-game onslaught of SEC play begins after that west coast trip, though the first few weeks are relatively easy for the Tigers. They only play Arkansas at home, but don’t get a home date with Kentucky, traveling to Lexington on February 25th. In fact, the end of their season is pretty rough, as their last three games are road games at Kentucky and Alabama followed by a senior night duel at home against a talented Tennessee squad.
