What team not currently in the top 25 has top 10 potential? Jason Burgess (@Collegehoopsguy)

I put a ton of thought into this question and looked at the teams who are also receiving votes and likely will all year. There are alot of teams who could make the top 10 who are not ranked currently but the one who is the most likely, at least for me, is the Miami Hurricanes. Miami is fresh off of an Elite Eight appearance and then head coach Jim Larranaga hit the transfer portal. It shouldn’t be news now that the Hurricanes have a very lucrative NIL collective that helped them on the transfer portal.

Miami was able to add arguably the best mid-major player in the country in Norchad Omier. Omier is a walking double-double, and one of the most dominant players I have seen in a long time. The other player that the Hurricanes added was Nijel Pack who is a transfer from Kansas State. Pack is a great scorer and an elite shooter. Those two form a trio with preseason Wooden Award watch list player Isaiah Wong. Add those three with the unbelievable depth that Miami has and there you have in my opinion a top-tier team in the ACC this season.

The ACC may be one of the best leagues in the country again this year as it has seven strong teams that can all make a deep run into the NCAA tournament. The Hurricanes are a team who has the ability and a roster that when it is all clicking could win the league outright. They are a very high-floor team and if they don’t make the tournament it will be a huge upset. Miami is going to have a ton of opportunities to rack up some of the best wins in the country. Do not be surprised if Miami jumps into the rankings as early as Monday and then continues its steady ascent to the top 10.
