4. TCU Horned Frogs – 14-3 (3-2)

The Frogs took on four ranked teams in the past two weeks, going 2-2 overall. Since the last Big 12 Basketball power rankings, the team had a tough loss at Texas, losing 79-75. They had a 13-point lead at the half but allowed 50 points to the Longhorns in the second half. Emanuel Miller had 21 points, while Mike Miles had 16 points. Damion Baugh had nine points and 10 of the team’s 11 assists.

TCU was able to bounce back in the following game against Kansas State at home. They had another double-digit lead at halftime but this time was able to hold onto the 82-68 victory. Miller once again led the way offensively, scoring 23 points and eight rebounds. Miles had 13 points and 11 assists, while big man Eddie Lampkin had 17 points on 6/7 shooting.

As a team, the Horned Frogs only made 3/19 from deep but the Wildcats only made three more and turned it over 19 times to give TCU the victory. It was the highest margin of victory for the team in league play and Miller is looking like an All-Big player at this point.

The Frogs are on the road this week, going to West Virginia and Kansas. The expectations would be a 1-1 spilt but this team has shown that they can play well both at home and away in the Big 12.
