12. Ohio State Buckeyes – 11-10 (3-7)

After losing five straight games, the Buckeyes were able to break that skid with a dominant 93-77 win at home against Iowa over a week ago. Freshman star Brice Sensabaugh had 27 points and nine rebounds, while Isaac Likekele, who was inserted back into the starting lineup, had 18 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.

It looked for a moment that Ohio State found something and could go on a run to get on the right side of the bubble. But the past two games say otherwise, starting with Illinois on the road. The offense struggled out the gate and tried playing catchup but never could get a lead, losing 69-60. Sensabaugh was the lone starter with 14 points, while Justice Sueing had 13 off the bench.

The offense did a little better against Indiana on the road but the defense was awful, giving up 86 points in a 16-point defeat. It’s become a theme for the Buckeyes in the scoring department, with Sensabaugh (23 points and 6 rebounds) doing most of the work, with little contributions from everywhere else.

Losers of 7 of 8 games, Ohio State comes back home to take on Wisconsin, while then going back on the road to face Michigan. This will be an important week for all three teams so keep an eye out for the results.
