#13. LSU (12-11, 1-9)

LSU has dropped nine straight SEC games since their league-opening win against Arkansas. That win certainly feels like ages ago now.

Justice Hill returned to the lineup this past week which helped the offense a little but it wasn’t enough to steal wins against Missouri or Alabama. However, the offensive improvement is very encouraging.

They had six players score in double figures against Missouri (something that was seemingly unimaginable during the month of January) and against Alabama, flirted with scoring a point per possession (something they weren’t remotely close to achieving the first time they faced the Tide).

Derek Fountain’s 26-point, seven-rebound outing against Alabama was certainly the other individual highlight for LSU. They’ll need more secondary scoring and to build upon the offensive improvement with Hill back if they want to scrape together some wins and avoid being in the same tier as South Carolina.

This week, they’ll face another tough defense in Mississippi State on the road and come back home to face Texas A&M. The league losing streak extending to 11 seems very likely.
