No. 9 Kansas 19-5 (7-4) at Oklahoma 12-12 (2-9)

Norman, OK, Saturday, February 11, 1:00 PM ET, CBS

Another Big 12 team that has a big week is the team that sits just below West Virginia in the standings, the Oklahoma Sooners. After a tough week that saw them get beat by Oklahoma State and West Virginia handing them a 32-point drubbing, Porter Moser’s squad could use a big win in a bad way. They began their week trying to get it by knocking off No. 14 Baylor, which turned out badly with an 82-72 loss.

They now turn their attention to No. 9 Kansas on Saturday. They hold a big win over Alabama in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, but their league wins have come over West Virginia and Texas Tech, and that victory over the Red Raiders is currently the Sooners’ lone road win this season.

Their remaining schedule consists of six top-20 teams, beginning with Kansas on Saturday, and Texas Tech. They have a huge chance to make hay before the Big 12 Tournament. One big thing that the Sooners have going for them is their 2nd ranked strength of schedule. The Sooners will be looking for revenge against the Jayhawks who escaped with a four-point win after trailing by five with 2:30 to play.

Aside from the win over Alabama, the Sooners’ best win is over Florida, so if they want to remain in consideration to make the field, they need to start winning games, splitting with Kansas would be a good start.
