Texas A&M Aggies

Texas A&M has a similar situation to Mississippi State when it comes to teams being counted out in the SEC. After a pair of Quad 4 losses to both Wofford and Murray State, it was going to take a lot for this team to even get in the at-large conversation.

Well, being in the running for the regular-season title race is a start and the Aggies are now 10-2 in the standings after another 2-0 week. The first of them was the key, as they got the home upset over Auburn to get the regular season swept. It’s just below a Quad 1 win but the Aggies will take another resume-builder.

The game this weekend was on the road at LSU, which could’ve easily been a tricky spot for a potential letdown. But Texas A&M dominated from the get-go, taking a 24-point halftime lead and turning it into a 74-62 win, led by 23 points from Wade Taylor IV.

Texas A&M has a top-40 NET ranking and is 5-5 against the top 10 opponents. Those two bad losses will continue to keep them in the bubble area but as long as they keep winning, they’ll end up in the field. They have two more chances to enhance their resume, taking on Arkansas and Missouri this week.
