10. Boston College Eagles – 12-14 (6-9)

Boston College has now gone 3-3 in the past three weeks of action and is in a position to potentially get out of the first round of the ACC Basketball Tournament. They’ve shown to be capable of pulling off an upset while also being blown out.

Against Virginia Tech, the Eagles went for a surprising 12-point lead at halftime and despite giving up 49 points in the final 20 minutes, managed to hold onto the 82-76. That effectively took the Hokies out of bubble contention with a Quad 3 defeat, thanks to 24 points and 10 rebounds from Quinten Post. Chas Kelly went for 17 off the bench, while Makai Ashton-Langford had a career-high 12 assists.

The home game against NC State wasn’t as close, as the Wolfpack won by 30 points, 92-62. Post had another 20 points but Jaeden Zackery, who came off the bench, was the only other in double figures with 10 points. The 17 turnovers and 4/14 shooting from the field weren’t helpful in keeping the game close.

Boston College looks to spoil another bubble team’s efforts this week in Pittsburgh on the road. After that is a game against Florida State, which doesn’t have any postseason implications but both teams are still hoping to overtake Syracuse as a 9 seed in the conference tournament.
