Texas A&M Aggies

If I wanted to, I probably could repeat what I said about Kentucky with Texas A&M. Because even though they had a gaudy record in league play and were near the top of the SEC standings, were being held back by the pair of Quad 4 non-conference losses to Wofford and Murray State.

Texas A&M has clearly improved, including getting its biggest win of the season this week against Tennessee. At home. The score in that game was 68-63, thanks to a career-high 21 points and nine rebounds from Michigan State transfer, Julius Marble. It was the 5th Quad 1 win on the season for the Aggies, making them 8-5 against Quad 1/2 opponents.

That record took a small hit on Saturday, losing a road game at Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are squarely on the bubble themselves but it’s far from a bad loss, currently classified as a Quad 1 defeat.

Considering how the bubble has moved as of late, Texas A&M has clearly put itself into a positive position on the right side of the bubble. They have Ole Miss on the road and Alabama at home in the next week and as long as they don’t fall to the Rebels, they shouldn’t have any worries on Selection Sunday.
