Kansas State Wildcats

The Wildcats are a Big 12 team currently in the top-16 overall and have a chance to move up a seedline if they keep winning. They’re up there when it comes to Quad 1 wins, entering this past week with seven.

Kansas State was able to add two more to the total, starting with Baylor at home. The final score in that game was 75-65, led by 25 points from leading scorer Keyontae Johnson, along with 14 points and 10 rebounds from Markquis Nowell.

The Big 12 program had to go on the road and take on Oklahoma State, who could’ve become a winner itself had they won this game since they’re on the bubble. But the Wildcats were in no mood to help out, getting another Quad 1 road win, 73-68. Nowell was the lead scorer this time around with 22 points.

Kansas State is now 9-5 against Quad 1 opponents and is making a solid case for being a 2 seed in Bracketology. As long as that loss to Butler remains in the Quad 1 range, the resume for the Wildcats will continue to look fairly clean. They look to build on that progress this upcoming week, taking on Oklahoma and West Virginia in what should be fairly winnable games for them.
