12. UConn Huskies – 22-7 (11-7 Big East)

The offense for the Huskies is starting to flourish, even while missing a couple of rotation guards recently. The first game they played last week was against Providence in a battle of ranked Big East programs. It started out as a close game in the first half before UConn exploded in the final 20 minutes to get the 87-69 win.

Four players were in double figures for UConn, led by 20 points and six rebounds from Jordan Hawkins. Frontcourt players Adama Sanogo and Alex Karaban each had 16 points, while Tristen Newton contributed with 12 points and seven assists. As a team, the Huskies out-rebounded the Friars, 38-19.

The second game was on the road at St. John’s, which UConn lost at home in the first go-around. It was a game that ultimately became an offensive shootout, one that the road team was more than ready for. The final score ended up being 95-86, with four Huskies scoring 15+ points. Jordan Hawkins led them with 20 points, while Sanogo had 18 points and nine rebounds.

The Huskies look to extend its three-game win streak to end the regular season, taking on DePaul and finishing up with a road battle at Villanova. The Wildcats have proven to be a tough out as of late so it’ll be far from an easy game.
