24. TCU Horned Frogs – 19-10 (8-8 Big 12)

The Horned Frogs have found a way to remain competitive in the Big 12, despite not having multiple starters at the time. The good news is that they got back star guard Mike Miles for the late stretch run in the regular season, although they ended up not having Eddie Lampkin for the last game against Texas Tech.

But first was at home against Kansas, a major opportunity for another signature win for TCU’s resume. It was a game that was played fairly close for 40 minutes at the Frog’s pace but in the end, they weren’t able to get the victory. The final score was 63-58, with Jakobe Coles (12 points) the only player that shot around 50% from the field. As a team, TCU made just 30% of its shots, including 5/18 from deep.

The road game against Texas Tech was the complete opposite from a style standpoint, with both teams getting into the 80s. It was a back-and-forth battle that saw the Red Raiders within seconds of a massive victory but the Horned Frogs stole it at the end with a couple of free throws for the 83-82 win.  Miles had 24 points, while Emanuel Miller had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Coles had another good game off the bench with 15 points and five rebounds.

TCU looks to remain above .500 in Big 12 play, with two games to go. The first one is at home against Texas, with a road battle at Oklahoma to round things out.
