FSU pulls off largest comeback in ACC Basketball history to beat Miami
In case you haven’t seen it by now, Florida State pulled off one of the most stunning upsets of the entire season Saturday afternoon in Coral Gables. The Hurricanes entered the matchup as heavy favorites, and held a commanding 54-31 halftime lead!
The Seminoles responded with their most impressive half of the season, roaring back to take a 71-70 lead with six minutes remaining. After a wild final stanza where the teams were trading the lead, Miami’s Jordan Miller nailed a three-pointer with five seconds remaining to reclaim an 84-82 lead.
Having no timeouts and the length of the court to go, Florida State’s Matthew Cleveland hit a wild hailmary three as the final horn sounded to shock the Hurricanes. Cleveland finished with 20 points, with fellow guard Darin Green Jr. tallying another 20 for the ‘Noles.

While no one will pretend that this season has been up to par in Tallahassee, Leonard Hamilton’s group still deserve some serious props for how they’ve fought. After going 2-10 in out of conference play, the ‘Noles have rallied to have a semi-respectable conference campaign with a current 7-11 record in ACC play.
