NC State: 22-9 (12-8 in ACC) NET: 41

With no bad losses and a few great wins, NC State is having a bit of a revival year, perhaps saving Kevin Keatts’ job for another year or two. The Wolfpack have just 2 Quad 1 wins, but one of them was a very impressive 24-point victory against Duke back near the start of conference play. Considering their record and standing in the conference, you’d think this team would be in better shape.

At times this season, NC State has looked pretty good, and not just in that win over the Blue Devils. They’ve also beaten Miami and North Carolina at home and gave Kansas a run for their money at the start of the season. Unfortunately, they haven’t exactly ended the season on the best foot, getting blown out at home by Clemson last weekend in an abhorrent performance from their defense.

The regular season is over for the Wolfpack, leaving just the ACC Tournament for them to improve their resume. That news is both good and bad, meaning they’re sitting back and hoping some of these other bubble teams blow it this upcoming weekend. Fortunately, NC State is safely in the Tournament right now, but the combination of another bad showing at the ACC Tournament and a few nice performances on the bubble could be deadly for them.
