Bracketology 2023: Complete Bubble Watch before final weekend of regular season

Oklahoma State: 16-14 (7-10 in Big 12) NET: 47
You know the Big 12 is having an electric season when a team with this kind of record is seriously considered for the Big Dance. Oklahoma State has by no means been perfect this season, but their play against some of their Big 12 rivals is the reason they’re squarely on the bubble. After all, having 5 Quad 1 wins is no joke, even if they’ve had 16 opportunities to get those wins.
Nonconference play wasn’t great, with a Quad 3 home loss to Southern Illinois and a few other poor showings. Conference play hasn’t been the best, but the Cowboys have gotten a few wins to salvage this resume. They’ve swept Iowa State, which is really impressive this season, and have beaten TCU and West Virginia as well. Unfortunately, they were swept by Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, and Texas and have now lost 5 games in a row.
That NET figure was in the low 20’s just a few weeks ago and now the Cowboys are certainly on the outside looking in. For starters, they have to find a way to win at Texas Tech this weekend, finishing off the season sweep against another team on the bubble in the league. That itself probably won’t be enough, as a 17-15 team doesn’t look the most attractive to the Selection Committee. If they beat the Red Raiders and can knock off one of those top-tiers teams in the Big 12 Tournament, then this team will dance in all likelihood.
