Jalen Slawson – Furman – Senior (Fifth year) – 6’7, 210 lbs

After losing their conference tournament championship on a buzzer-beater last year, I’m glad Slawson and the Paladins will get their chance in March. Slawson has been an uber-productive, swiss-army knife, while also scoring the ball at the best clip of his career. He fits the billing of a prospect I typically fall for: big, physical wing that does a lot of things that don’t involve scoring.

Slawson will have to prove his three-point shooting improvement is real. I’m sure NBA teams have done due diligence on Slawson, but this week will likely be the first time that this many eyes are on him. But in a first-round game against Virginia, Slawson is rather easily the most athletic wing on the floor.

The Paladins are a popular upset pick in round one, and have a feasible path to a Sweet Sixteen appearance. Slawson isn’t a projected draft pick right now, but can maybe work his way into the two-way
