Memphis Tigers

The Tigers are set to go from one of the most experineced NCAA Basketball backcourts to one of the youngest after the season. Star senior Kendric Davis is set to leave, along with Alex Lomax and others. The team does have a quality recuriting class coming filled with backcourt talent, led by five-star combo guard, Mikey Williams.

What you don’t want to do is be too young in a sport where everyone has seniors. Memphis could use McKnight as a senior leader to stabilize the offense and take the pressure off of Williams as a freshman. Plus, with so many Conference USA programs set to join the AAC next season, the former Hilltopper guard will have plenty of familiarity as well.

Miami Hurricanes

Coach Jim Larranaga has had success with both guards and mid-major transfers. They’ll be losing star guard and ACC Player of the Year Isaiah Wong most likely, barring a surprise desire for a 5th-year. Jordan Miller, who was second in scoring, automatic has to leave this offseason.

Miami may have some NIL available for a high-profile transfer this offseason and McKnight is a player they can get, if Louisville doesn’t work out. And the Hurricanes have a really good case to make over the Cardinals regardless, as one team is the regular-season champion in the ACC, with the other being the last-place team in the ACC.
