Florida State Seminoles

It was a miserable year for the Seminoles, mainly because of how the frontcourt was decimated by injuries. They should have Brown transfer Jaylen Gainey back but there’s no telling what kind of impact he’ll have at the ACC level. Freshman Cameron Corhen did a solid job but the team still finished with nine wins this past season and needs to make changes.

The other center on the roster is Naheem McLeod but despite being 7’4, hasn’t been an impactful player. Ware is someone that would give them a big boost at the five-spot and get the program back on track. Coach Leonard Hamilton has a good track record with athletes and he’s one of the top available in the portal.

Memphis Tigers

The Tigers are going to lose a lot of players in both the backcourt and frontcourt. Inside, they’re losing star big man, Deandre Williams, along with backup forward, Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu. Whether Malcolm Dandridge is back or not, they’ll need multiple big men from the portal.

There’s a 6-man recruiting class coming in but all play on the perimeter. Ware is the kind of athletic rim-protecting big man that could thrive at Memphis at the AAC level. There’s plenty of playing time available for the play at a high-profile program, although he may have to deal with plenty of talented guards that need the ball in their hands.
