1. Max Abmas – Oral Roberts

Abmas is one of the five best players in the transfer portal, period. Committed or uncommitted. Mid-major or high-major.

He was a three-time first-team All-Summit League player at Oral Roberts, averaging between 21.9 and 24.6 points in each of the last three seasons.

In 2021, Abmas led 15-seed Oral Roberts on a Sweet 16 run, scoring 29 in a first-round win over Ohio State and 26 in a second-round win over Florida. This past season, Abmas led the Golden Eagles back to the NCAA Tournament with a 30-5 overall record and a perfect 21-0 record in Summit League play.

Abmas has deep range and is a proven scorer and underrated playmaker, as evidenced by his assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.99. At his next stop, Abmas will likely be surrounded by more talent, meaning his passing ability will be showcased further.

Abmas took an official visit to Kansas State this past weekend but has also been linked to Texas and Wichita State.

He would be replacing Markquis Nowell at Kansas State and Marcus Carr at Texas, both star point guards who led their teams to the Elite Eight last season.
