11. TCU

Jamie Dixon starred at TCU back in the 80’s and his run as head coach has gotten the Horned Frogs back into the national spotlight again. The Horned Frogs were an NCAA Tournament two seasons ago that then returned nearly their entire lineup and found themselves in the Big Dance again. Star Mike Miles Jr. will not return and a few other important pieces are gone, but Dixon has been busy solidifying this roster again.

TCU nabbed two of the best pieces in the Portal, getting Avery Anderson III from Oklahoma State (11.1 ppg last season) and Jameer Nelson Jr., who put up more than 20 a game to lead Delaware. The Horned Frogs are still waiting on Draft decisions from Emanuel Miller and Damion Baugh but should see steps forward from role players like JaKobe Coles and Chuck O’Bannon next season.

Nelson slides into Miles’ role leading this offense while Anderson throws himself into a very strong backcourt full of talent. TCU could be stronger than we anticipate, especially with this success on the Transfer Portal. Dixon’s squad will have a tough time in the new-look Big 12 with several changes, but watch out if either of those Draft declarers decide to head back for another year of school. With either Miller or Baugh on board, this could be a scary team yet again.
