3. Isaiah Coleman

The 6’6 guard/wing was at one point the highest-rated commit in College of Charleston program history but parted ways this offseason. It was a blow for the Cougars but it could come to the benefit of Seton Hall, who reportedly is hosting the top 50 prospect. The Pirates are desperate for any offensive firepower and haven’t done great in the transfer portal but landing Coleman would be a nice coup this offseason.

2. Mackenzie Mgbako

For the longest time after de-committing from Duke, Mgbako was the top incoming freshman available. The five-star combo forward may not have come out with an official list but he’s set to visit four programs; Louisville, St. John’s, Indiana, and Kansas. If he were to pick the Jayhawks and join recent transfer pickup Hunter Dickinson, that would be a seismic set of news in NCAA Basketball.

1. Ron Holland

The latest updated recruiting ranking by 247sports has Holland as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. The five-star combo forward has all the tools to be both a college and pro star, is capable of scoring at a high level, and is a sound defender as well. He was originally a Texas commit before parting ways, overtaking Mgbako as the highest-ranked available player.

Many teams reached out to Holland as soon as he was available but two options that reportedly stand out the most are Arkansas and the G League. Many NCAA Basketball fans are hoping that he takes the pro route because if the Razorbacks add Holland to pair with all of those guard transfers, they could be one of the teams to beat in the sport next season.
