4. UConn Huskies – Grade: B

The next two teams are difficult to judge at this time because there’s a lot that can still go on. UConn knew that after winning the national title, they were going to have to go through some key decisions. The Huskies have lost both Jordan Hawkins and Adama Sanogo to the NBA Draft, while Nahiem Alleyne transferred out to St. John’s.

There’s still the status of both Tristen Newton and Andre Jackson to deal with but the most important news is that Donovan Clingan is back for another year and will be a consensus national breakout player to watch. So while I can’t give UConn the highest of grades just yet, they’re still likely a top-10 roster for next season.

3. Creighton Bluejays – Grade: B+

There are lots of rumors about the starting lineup of Creighton but for now, four of them are back, including wing Baylor Schieierman for an extra season. The only one that has left is point guard Ryan Nembhard but to their credit, the team rebounded by landing Utah State transfer, Steven Ashworth.

The bench has been upgraded as well, landing Memphis transfer wing Johnathan Lawson and former top-60 forward prospect, Isaac Traudt. If the roster can stay intact based on the NBA Draft process, look for them to be a preseason top-10 team like UConn in 2023-24.
