Mac Etienne – UCLA Bruins

2022-23 season stats: 1.3 ppg and 1.9 rpg

The 6’9 big man spent three years at UCLA as a backup off the bench. Last season, Etienne played 6.8 mpg as a reserve for big man Adem Bona. He’s never been much of a scorer but he has shown the ability to both rebound and be a solid defender.

The former four-star prospect is one of a few power conference frontcourt transfers left out there. He’s someone that would fit the 10 mpg need behind Edwards and could be more willing to do it compared to a Dandridge. Plus, Etienne still has three years of eligibility as well.

DeMarr Langford – Boston College Eagles

2022-23 season stats: 7.0 ppg and 2.8 rpg

Langford is a 6’5 guard with 54 career starts in three seasons. As a full-time starter when he was a sophomore, Langford averaged 11.3 ppg and 4.8 rpg in 35 mpg. His minutes dipped a bit this past season as he came off the bench but still managed to have a few good scoring outputs, including 20 points on 10/13 shooting against Miami.

Langford has two years left and his recruitment has flown under the radar, with teams such as UCF and New Mexico State reportedly involved. With Perez gone, West Virginia Basketball could come in and offer him not only a rotation spot but potentially to start. And the Mountaineers know that compared to some mid-major targets, they know he can play at the power conference level.
