Marcus Watson – NC A&T Aggies

2022-23 season stats: 14.2 ppg and 4.5 rpg

Watson is a 6’6 wing and former top-100 prospect that started out at Oklahoma State, though he never played a minute there. It was at A&T at both the Big South and CAA levels where he showed he can be a talented scorer. He had 10 games of at least 20 points, including 28 points and seven assists versus William & Mary.

Watson had previously committed to Seton Hall this offseason but parted ways with them a week ago. He’s the kind of athlete that can play in the Big 12 and his ability to play at both the small and power forward positions is very useful for a team that lacks depth there.

Austin Williams – Florida International Panthers

2022-23 season stats: N/A

After two years at Marist coming off the bench, Williams transferred to Hartford where he became a leading scorer. The 6’4 guard shot over 50% from the field and averaged 15.1 ppg in those two seasons. Williams is primarily a slasher that doesn’t take a ton of three-point shots but is fairly efficient overall.

Williams missed this past season at FIU due to an injury so now is a 6th-year transfer with one more year of eligibility. Recently, he’s been connected to Rutgers as a free agent but to this point, nothing has occurred. While there is an injury concern, the Mountaineers could use the experience he would provide and being a capable scorer off the ball.
