18. Isaiah Wilkins

The last two seasons were really excellent at Longwood and Wilkins was a major reason for that breakthrough. A 6’4 wing from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, his career actually began in the ACC. Wilkins was a bench player for two seasons at Virginia Tech before transferring to Wake Forest to do more of the same. His second transfer came in 2021 and he certainly had his own breakthrough with the Lancers for these past two years.

After only modest numbers in the ACC, he averaged 12.7 points and 6.2 rebounds a game in his first year at Longwood, also hitting 39% of his 3-pointers. Wilkins also had some nice performances in the Big South Tournament and helped lead the Lancers to their first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. While Longwood didn’t win the Big South again this past season, he did put up similar offensive numbers and led them to another 20-win season.

After not finding his way in the ACC, Wilkins became a two-time First Team All-Big South player. He was also the Tournament MVP in 2022 and certainly holds a strong place in Lancers’ history as a result. He had impressive numbers across the board for a wing and rated as one of the most efficient players in the Big South. It was just two seasons in Farmville, but you can’t say Wilkins didn’t carve himself a place in both program and conference history with his efforts.
