14. T. J. Williams

Williams had a very impactful career at Northeastern. A 6’3 point guard from Pflugerville, Texas, he arrived on campus in 2013 and left four years later having contributed to significant success with the Huskies. Before his time was over, he had made the NCAA Tournament and become the CAA’s most talented player.

If you looked solely at his numbers, Williams wouldn’t blow you away, but he was a solid piece of Northeastern’s success. He didn’t score a ton early in his career but helped lead the Huskies to the NCAA Tournament during his sophomore season. Senior year is when his numbers really exploded, as he averaged right around 8 points per game across his first three years. In that final campaign, Williams averaged 21.4 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds, developing into a major star for the Huskies, including a triple-double at Elon in one of his final collegiate games.

Williams flew under the radar early in his career but was certainly revered at the end. He was the CAA Player of the Year as a senior in a season where he led the conference in scoring and took a monster leap as a contributor. No player in the CAA was better or more utilized than Williams that season and he certainly made himself known in that last chance with the Huskies.
